Maritime Power and the Asia Pacific Conference & Evening Social

You are cordially invited to attend the “Maritime Power and the Asia-Pacific” Conference organized by the Departments of International Studies and History at HPU and the Corbett Centre for Maritime Policy Studies, King’s College, London, UK on August 26-27 2009 at Hawai’i Loa Campus. The conference will include a panel of HPU MADMS graduate students as well as renowned scholars from Hawai’i, the mainland, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. The sponsors for this conference are the Departments of History and International Studies from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hawai’i Pacific University.

In addition, we will be co-sponsoring a social withe Departments of History and International Studies to mark the culmination of the conference and the start of the new academic year at 5.30pm on August 27th at Murphy’s Bar and Grill, 2 Merchant Street, Downtown Honolulu. There will be heavy pupus and a no host bar. If you would like a registration form, please contact me (Selina) and I can forward one to you.
