Call for papers: The Missouri Memorial Association is delighted to announce a call for papers for the first history conference hosted by the Missouri Memorial Association on August 28-29, 2010. The conference theme is “Lessons of War and Peace,” and will focus mainly on World War II and the war in the Pacific, although we will readily consider proposals for panels or individual papers on conflicts in other regions and eras.
Panel proposals must include a panel title, contact information for all panelists, a brief description of the purpose and theme of the panel, one-paragraph abstracts of each of the three papers, a brief biography for all panelists, including any panel chair/commentator. Proposals for individual papers are welcome and should include a one-paragraph abstract, brief biography and contact information. The deadline for proposals is January 1, 2010. Proposals may be submitted electronically to the conference coordinator, Dan Parsons (conference@ussmissouri.org) or by regular mail to Missouri Memorial Association Education Director, 63 Cowpens St. Honolulu, HI 96818. The program committee will acknowledge receipt of your proposal within two weeks of its submission. If you fail to receive such notice, please contact the conference coordinator.
